Lately I've been talking a lot about the idea that people love to buy but hate to be sold to.

I think of my own buying behavior as an example – if I walk into a department store and the salespeople are super pushy, I'm out. (I don't need someone telling me which pair of jeans I need to buy, thank you very much.)
